Care path

Keep a plan for the next visit

Before care starts, ask how to get a reply, what will be reviewed and how to leave the service.

Medicine-label facts as of September 2026.

Know how questions reach a clinician

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) flags a lack of access to a licensed doctor for questions after medicine arrives.

FDA · access after medicine arrives

Ask where to send a message, who reads it and how long a reply normally takes. Ask how concerns that cannot wait are handled. Someone who answers questions about bills may not be able to answer questions about your health.

Know what the next review will cover

During treatment, the semaglutide (Wegovy) label calls for checking heart rate and, for people with diabetes, blood sugar.

National Library of Medicine · review during care

Ask how the clinician will review progress, comfort, what you eat and your ability to keep paying. Write down the date of the next review and how to move it if needed.

Talk about changes before they happen

Researchers followed some people from a weight-loss study called STEP 1 after they stopped semaglutide. During the next year, the amount of weight they regained averaged about two-thirds of their earlier loss.

That was a study result, not a prediction for your body. Ask what support is planned if you pause, change medicine or stop. It is a shared care decision.

Keep a copy of the plan

  • How are records transferred if I leave?
  • How do I cancel ongoing charges?
  • What happens to a pending prescription?
  • Who takes over care if this service closes?

Save written answers where you can find them again. Knowing who takes over care helps when life changes.
