Start with care, not a drug name

It is fine to arrive with questions rather than a choice. A clinician is the health professional who reviews your needs. Telehealth means having that review from a distance, such as over a screen.

Online care must meet the standard expected of an in-person visit, says the Federation of State Medical Boards.

Ask how the service will assess you, who can answer questions later, and what happens if more checks are needed.

What does GLP-1 mean?

GLP-1 is a gut hormone, a body signal that helps control appetite as well as blood sugar. Medicines such as semaglutide mimic what that signal does.

The name of a medicine is only part of the decision. Bring the question back to your health, the care offered and the amount you can keep paying.

Check a claim about medicine made to order

Is medicine made to order the same as an approved copy?Read the correction

Compounding makes medicine to order. A generic medicine has approval and copies a brand product. FDA approval means a product has been accepted for a named use by the Food and Drug Administration after an evidence review. As of September 2026, a compounded medicine remains unapproved by FDA. A matching ingredient name does not make it an approved generic.
